About Emily and the Arts
Hi there, I'm Emily.
I've been making art for as long as I can remember, but it took me four years of college, a master's degree, and a Ph.D. in Art History and Archaeology to feel like I can really write about art - that is, write in a way that makes other people see and feel how I see and feel.
If you're like me, you know what your art is about. You know what you feel when you make it and how you want people to experience it, but you know this intuitively. Putting it into words isn't easy. How can you convey all of the emotion and reflection that goes into even the simplest and quickest of sketches?
